Qualifications: 1. Mechanic/Mechanical related knowledge and skills, including Machinist/Welding Skills and Mechanical aptitude - Drives (gears, bearings, bushings, chains, belts, cables), force, torque, thrust, springs (beam, coil, torsion), mechanisms, linkages, fluids, heat transfer, cooling, hydraulics/pneumatics 2. Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems with mechanical hardware 3. Fabrication and assembly skills and equipment - Machine tools, hand tools, power tools, precision measurement tools, prototype assembly practices, rigging, lifting, boring, drilling and tapping, lapping, doweling, lock-wiring, shimming, grinding, inspections 4. Communications - written and verbal - Lead development of test procedures, reports and briefings - Brief test results to Team and Customer 5. Lead mechanical maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and support execution of system tests and demonstrations 6. Travel as required to plant and other field sites for mechanical support, test execution, implementation of repairs and installation of engineering changes 7. Typical Work Days are M-Th 10 hours per day, but candidate must be willing to work in excess of 60 hours per week for extended periods Desired: 1. Military Background 2. Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and identify problems with armored vehicles, automated equipment, heavy machinery, mobile or aerospace equipment, including PMCS and asset configuration management 3. Computer-based hardware and software (CAD/CAE - Pro-E or AutoCAD), spreadsheets, graphics, drawings, charts) 4. Materials Knowledge - Metals, alloys, non-orthotropic materials, polymers, elastomers, adhesives, lubricants, solvents, ablatives, propellants, explosives, coatings (removal, replacement, compatibilities)
