Cell therapies is the collection of blood cells, including peripheral blood stem cells and monocytes, from a patient or donors blood stream, then processing and re-infusing as a part of various treatments.

SUMMARY:
Working under general supervision from the Sr. Engineer, the person in this position provides engineering support to the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge and experience typically gained through a Bachelors and a minimum of three years relevant experience.
Participates in on-call manufacturing support.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independently.
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor others.
Willingness to take ownership and accept responsibility for actions and decisions.
Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.

Demonstrated strong problem solving skills. Requires ability to develop solutions to technical problems of high complexity, make appropriate decisions, and meet time constraints.
Computer skills including familiarity with word processing programs, spreadsheets, and graphics.
Demonstrated desire to continually learn in order to keep up with changing technology.
Strong knowledge of computers and software application such as spreadsheets, word processing and database applications.
Requires knowledge of procedures, tools, techniques, materials and/or equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with various sterilization processes, preferably steam. Working knowledge of basic microbiological principles desired.
Working knowledge of process validation requirements.
Knowledge of manufacturing protocols, statistical tools and methodology, and continuous improvement techniques.
Working knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements relevant to manufacturing of a regulated product line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops or participates in the development of solutions to problems.
Independently designs and executes validation activities. Performs process and software validation. Responsibility for sterilization validation activities as assigned.
Independently designs and performs routine testing, project experiments, analysis of data and reports results.
Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects.
Works with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing and regulatory compliance issues.
Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to operating policies where appropriate.
Performs work assignments within quality departments that include training, technical support and/or process trouble shooting support.
Audits performance to procedures by manufacturing and other manufacturing support.
Investigates quality issues on production floor.
Performs quality and regulatory activities as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
