Growing independent oil and gas exploration and production company is seeking to hire an ENGINEERING TECH for their Houston office.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A SMALLER INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION WHICH PROVIDES HIGH VISIBILITY AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Monitor and track all non-operated activity from receipt of AFE to project completion

·         Ensure receipt of daily activity reports and field costs and provide entry into AFE system

·         Ensure consistency and accuracy of field estimates vs. actuals in accordance with operator’s reports

·         Monthly report of AFE vs. actuals to ensure data is consistent with activity and costs are in alignment with project summary

·         Receive and review JIBs from operators for accuracy of charges and take appropriate action for coding purposes to correct AFE

·         Contact with other companies for discrepancies in charges.

·         Track non-operated supplements and review operator’s request; ensure relationship with existing AFE and determine reason is sufficient

·         Ensure consent dates are met and fully understand project; be able to question and manage project from beginning to end

·         Monthly report to management of all non-operated projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         5 + years oil & gas industry experience

·         Experience with AFE’s, drilling and production reports is required

·         Able to communicate with management, operators and office personnel on a regular basis

SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE

·         Microsoft Office; proficient with Excel

·         AFE Management System / Bengal

·         Knowledgeable of daily activity programs (i.e., OpenWells)

·         Accounting system knowledge (i.e., Excalibur)

·         Knowledgeable of production database (i.e., Procount/Rio)
