DESCRIPTION: This position will have the responsibility to develop and implement
technical equipment and process designs in a high-speed manufacturing and packaging environment to improve process efficiencies and production capacities, while reducing costs. Also tasked to improve plant process controls systems to support plant safety, quality, reliability and cost initiatives and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply the combination of knowledge, experience and data analysis to analyze and assess both financial and operational impact of business initiatives.Develops and implements technical designs in specific technical functions within manufacturing, packaging and distribution to improve production efficiencies and capacities, while reducing costs. Team leader to obtain consensus across functional areas on improvement projects.Develops project proposals and bids and leads contract negotiations to meet continuous process improvement needs and manages associated project budgets.Develop project plans, scope, schedules and budgets. Defines business objectives and impact and associated risks. Implements plans and overcomes obstacles to the successful completion of projects.On occasion, oversee activities of facility maintenance group and technical specialists (plant locations).Promotes strong working relationships with engineering, manufacturing, packaging and distribution associates.Develop communication tools for effective communication of CI project status and final results.Represent the facility in the introduction of new CI initiatives and champion the sustained efforts of Statistical Process Control to the factory floor. Process owner for updating progress and reporting of results.
REQUIREMENTS:
5 to 7 years of successful project engineering design and management in a high-speed food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.College degree (4yr) from an accredited institution in an Engineering discipline (EE,ME, CE) Proven experience / training in a Project Management. (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizan and 5S preferred )Ability to make sound CI business decisions based upon data. ( using metrics and root cause analysis )Strong ability to lead project groups and develop team partners.Strong competency in the use of computer based programs and processes.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
