DESIGN ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER IN TRAININGAs an engineer or project manager in training, you will be involved in all aspects of the HVAC design / build process. From project conception through the details of design and field coordination, you will work with our staff of experts to obtain a practical knowledge and experience unmatched in this exciting industry. Examples of HVAC installations span the full spectrum from the simplest commercial building “package system” to the most complex high purity manufacturing process. Among other activities assigned, you will have the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise on such typical duties as:
Project planningConceptual design through construction drawing developmentLEEDTM certificationsEconomic & energy analysisLoad calculations, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping systemsApplications engineering including psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systemsCoordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction and Service departmentsField engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solvingComputer 3D modeling of HVAC systems utilizing the latest modeling softwareEstimating and proposal writing, client interaction
OUR REQUIREMENTSEntry Level Design Engineer / Project Manager In Training Requirements:BS in Mechanical Engineering / Environment Engineering or Construction ManagementPrior HVAC intern experience (preferred, but not required)Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentalsProficiency in AutoCad (or similar drafting software)Ability to interact effectively with others in team environments

Design Engineer- Experienced Requirements:BS in Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or Construction Management, PE preferred1-3 years’ experience with Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consulting firmExcellent understanding of HVAC design fundamentals and systems applicationsFamiliarity with Building CodesProficiency in load calculations, systems design, layouts and trade coordinationProficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software), load calculations & Energy Code compliance calculationsAbility to interact effectively with others in team environmentsHigh sense of integrityExcellent leadership skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf starter and strong desire to succeed
Senior Engineer- Requirements:BS in Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or Construction Management, PE preferredMinimum 3+ years experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consultantDemonstrates excellent understanding of HVAC Design Fundamentals and systems applicationsDemonstrates excellent familiarity with Building CodesDemonstrates high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a variety of personalities in a highly dynamic environmentDemonstrates strong organizational skills to respond successfully to a high volume of issues and competing prioritiesDemonstrates creative problem solving skills to develop positive results for all partiesExperience, enthusiasm and success in training and developing engineering team members
