Engineering Manager AY Manufacturing, Ltd., a Tier 1 world class supplier of sunroofs to the automotive industry, is searching for an Engineering Manager with proven progressive management experience. Candidates must have 5 - 10 years experience with an emphasis on manufacturing engineering, product development, lean manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement. You must be a highly motivated self-starter possessing exceptional communication, manufacturing, problem solving and staff development skills. Major activities of this position include implementation and follow through of a strategic plan to drive improvement. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency, ensure the engineering team and manufacturing departments work cohesively, responsible for development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process, plan and direct all aspects of the engineering activity within the organization and en-sure all engineering projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance within the organizations established objectives. Qualified candidates must have strong time management, leadership, analytical and problem solving skills in addition to working under pressure and being multi-task oriented. You must be familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices and procedures and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will be performing a variety of complex tasks. You must be Microsoft office proficient, possess excel-lent communication skills and the ability to travel domestically or internationally, on short notice. A bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline is preferred.
