Description: Job Summary:
You will leverage your strong technical understanding of Enterprise Architectures to provide perspective in the translation broad strategies into structured marketing plans while also taking responsibility for a team of Reference/Solutions Architects. You will work with marketing senior managers to establish and report departmental strategies and goals as well as provide management oversight to subordinate managers and technical leads.

Essential Functions:
- Provide technical perspective and leadership to a cross-functional team of Marketing Managers, Product Managers, and Sales Professionals to meet departmental objectives and revenue targets.
- Monitor the development of business plans, lifecycle management, and product positioning in the marketplace.
- Use your technical understanding of end-to-end solutions to provide guidance and leadership in the creation of structured product marketing plans; communicate plans to Product Managers, Sales, Support, and Product Development.
- Oversee market research efforts, monitor competitive activity, and identify and evaluate customer's needs; function as a key resource through interactions with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to enhance existing products or product line(s).
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to lead new product definition and business initiatives.
- Select, develop and evaluate personnel.
- Collaboratively develop an annual budget with senior management.
- Manage and participate in long-term projects and strategic initiates.
- Utilize your strong technical knowledge of backup & recovery &/OR OS Administration &/OR server virtualization to support Marketing Managers. Areas of technical marketing focus may include:
- Market Analysis
- Market Sizing and Segmentation
- Outbound Marketing
- Tradeshows and events
- Cross-functional team projects
- Communications/Presentations

- BS/CS or equivalent. - 10+ years as a stated expert of creating Solution/Reference Architectures for the Enterpriseo 4+ years as a manager of technical staffo You must have strong technical and project management skills and must be able to work cross-functionally with other development teams and partner organizations.- You must be in expert in documenting best practices for the total end to end solution for a given application.- You must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills.- You should have in-depth expertise of installing and administering various operating systems like: Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP/UX etc. - Experience in the installation and administration of storage networks (IP/FC) with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot those environments, is a big plus.- You should also be an in-depth specialist for server virtualization technology like : VMware, XEN, Microsoft Virtual Servero You must be an expert with the vendors technologies for areas like backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and so on.Approximately 15% travel Qualifications: - You must be expert in documenting best practices for the total end to end solution for a given application.
