Summit is a multi-plant, automotive supplier of injection molded interior trim; specializing in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of feature based A/C registers, cupholders, glove boxes, consoles and trim panels. Summit's Plant in Elizabethtown, KY has an opportunity for an Engineering Manager to become a part of a dynamic management team dedicated to bringing the customer a quality product on time, every time.

Summit is looking for an hands-on Engineering Manager with extensive experience in "Class A surface" plastic injection molding process, accustomed to meeting the stringent quality demands of the automotive industry. This experienced professional will need significant injection molding tooling and process experience to manage and lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers at the plant level from product development through process capability. This technical manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production tooling both primary and secondary and assuring that job is running to BOM. Candidate must be dedicated to such lean manufacturing systems as Kanban, JIT, Heijunka, and Poke Yoke. The successful candidate will have the leadership skills, experience and in-depth knowledge to insure that Summit’s procedures and policies are effectively practiced and documented.
