R&D and Product Development Engineers

 

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is a thermal technology R&D and product manufacturing firm located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Lancaster is in the heart of the beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Country, with vibrant cultural activities year around and a strong industrial and tourist based economy. It is within one to two hours of driving distances from Philadelphia and Baltimore and about two and half hours from New York City.

 

ACT is comprised of a talented, motivated and successful engineering team that enjoys putting innovations into action. We work to solve some of the most challenging thermal problems in the aerospace, military, commercial and government R&D markets. Our technologies and products are used in many diverse applications including satellites, marine vessels and consumer products. Currently we are looking for creative and adaptable engineers to join our team to help us continue our tradition of innovation, teamwork, and customer care.

 

To be a successful ACT Engineer, you need to have:

 

·        At a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering with relevant heat transfer and thermal management experience.

·        At a minimum, 5 years of post-university experience in a professional R&D or engineering environment.

·        U.S. citizenship that allows you to work on government related projects.

·        Excellent verbal and written skills. Prior experience in technical presentation and publication is a plus.

·        Willingness to be a team player working with others to identify new opportunities, develop new concepts and design new products for diverse applications.

·        Hands-on experience in generating mechanical designs and manufacturing drawings using CAD packages such as SolidWorks or Pro-E is a plus.

·        Hands-on experience in performing mechanical, thermal and fluid analysis using FEA and CFD packages, including CosmosWorks and CFDesign, a plus.

·        Hands-on experience with mechanical and thermal fabrication, instrumentation and measurement techniques. Familiarity with computerized data acquisition is a plus.

·        Ability to perform various project management duties including task scheduling, resource planning, supplier management, and customer service.
