Position Description:
Job Duties: Versatile and enthusiastic radar/RF/Digital engineer to work as part of the Data Quality group. The group is responsible for establishing a continuous, end-to-end, active Quality Assurance process and leading investigations into problems raised by customers during their testing efforts. Should be familiar with radar systems theory, electromagnetic theory as it relates to radar signal propagation and multipath, data analysis and standard electronics test equipment (i.e. signal generators, spectrum analyzers). Requires an understanding of RF components (i.e. amplifiers, mixers, attenuators) and real-time embedded microprocessor based acquisition and control systems. Works in a team environment and interfaces regularly with outside organizations. Should be able to use a sound Systems Engineering approach to investigate problems with equipment, signal conditioning, instrumentation, infrastructure, and product development. Will rely heavily on analyzing radar data to help resolve customer problems associated with our products. Provide documentation and training to system personnel on product quality evaluation. Requires high-degree of self-motivation and ability to work with little direct supervision. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university. Must have knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems. Work is performed in both office and field environments with overnight test support as required. The position requires walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, lifting up to 20 pounds. Must be able to manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI security clearance. Desired Qualifications: In addition to the minimum BS requirement, up to 8 years of experience in radar testing, data analysis, and technical writing, or, a Master of Science Degree in a related electronics discipline from an ABET accredited college or university plus 6 years experience as described above. Training and experience in statistics, systems engineering processes, software programming, MatLab and all applications contained in Microsoft Office Professional version. Possess an active TS/SSBI security clearance.
