Iowa Interstate Railroad is a short line railroad recruiting for a civil engineer or equivalent. Responsible for leases, land sales and joint facilities. Prepares and reviews plans, estimates and specifications for Public Works construction. Inspects construction to ensure Railroad specs are met. Additional responsibilities include preparing plans, estimates and specs for construction. Must be able to conduct property inspections and make recommendations. Checks property for easements and encroachments. Assists in the development of the Maintenance operating budget and prepares cost estimates. Must be proficient in the use of computers including AutoCAD. Must be available for weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended time away from home. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Previous railroad experience helpful. Please send resume and salary history.
