Our client, PACCAR, has an opening for a manufacturing engineer in their new state-of-the-art engine plant with an Engine Research and a Development Center co-located in Columbus, MS. PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light-, medium and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. PACCAR also provides financial services, information technology and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. This is a single contributor role and has the opportunity for growth in the future.

We are seeking Engineers in the following fields:

Logistics Engineer –With a focus on Kanban, material flow, kitting and interaction with Materials Dept. Knowledge of packaging would be a plus

Test Cell Engineer – Must have a knowledge of testing protocols, Diesel engine design. Specific Diesel Engine Hot Testing is a plus,

Tooling Engineer – Work with machining group and tool cutting/regrind to specify equipment and focus on improving tool life

Quality/Maintenance/Facility Engineer – Work with Maintenance and Quality department and Manufacturing Engineer department to solve equipment related quality issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have three to five years minimum of manufacturing experience. Exhibited process and product knowledge is desired. Experience with the practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems, proven problem-solving skills as well as excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment, builds and supports collaborative relationships with internal/external stakeholders, as well as possesses the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Relocation to Columbus, MS is required.

B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial).

Master degree in Engineering or MBA is a plus.

Any fluency in Dutch, Spanish, or French is a plus.
