TTC is also playing an increasingly important role in the design-engineering and development of Toyota products, particularly those developed for the North American market.  ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYENGINE CALIBRATION ENGINEER   The Powertrain Calibration Group of the Toyota Technical Center Division (TTC) has a current opportunity for an Engine Calibration Engineer to meet expanding responsibilities for engine development and calibration projects. This position requires an enthusiastic, hardworking self starter to join our talented engineering team located in Ann Arbor, MI.     Responsibilities Perform engine control system testing in accordance with procedures Develop new procedures for testing Diagnose engine control system problems and develop calibration or software logic countermeasures Data collection, analysis and reporting Generate and present technical reports Manage software and calibration changes to meet deadlines Interface with other vehicle departments

 

BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 1-3  years of engine calibration experience Combustion courses and thorough understanding of IC engine theory and practice Ability to read / write C programming Experience with data acquisition and calibration equipment. Proficient with standard PC software Ability to work with minimal instruction and supervision Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work well in teams in a culturally diverse environment Excellent driving record required. Ability to work overtime, approximately 25% travel may be required (including international travel) Initial transfer to Los Angeles for 1-2 years for training may be required
