Perimeter is headquartered in Milford, CT, with four geographically distributed technical 0perations centers as well as three redundant datacenters.  The company offers a complete suite of on-demand network security services including intrusion defense, malicious code defense, secure email, secure access, automated compliance, and network services.  Uniquely positioned as the leading Software as a Service (SaaS) company, Perimeter offers all of its services on a subscription basis eliminating the need for costly IT projects.

The Telecom Manager is responsible for managing Perimeters telecom pre-sales, procurement, and provisioning needs.  The position requires the ability to translate business requirements into efficient technology strategy.  The Telecom Manager must have a strong Telecom technical background and have the ability to lead projects and see business and technical components. 

The Telecom Manager will work closely with Sales Engineering, Finance, Deployment, and Operation to support Perimeter’s Telecom quoting, procurement and provisioning needs.  The Telecom Manager must have strong drive, excellent work ethics and a strong commitment to the team and company's success.

Reports To:      Senior Vice President, Sales Engineering & Deployment

Responsibilities:

 

·         Pre-Sales Telecom quotes management (40%)

·         Ongoing Telecom vendor management (10%)

·         Deployment Provisioning and Support (30%)

·         Finance Telecom contractual support (10%)

·         Operations Support (10%)

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent

·         5+ years experience in telecom sector

Desired:

·         CCNA, CCDP or equivalent

·         PMI certification

·         Supported and led projects with multiple customers

·         Supported projects through all phases: vision development , selling, design, develop, deploy, and has supported the product when operational

·         Partner experience with line of business

·         Strong project management skills

·         Experience in developing vendor relationships and contracts

·         Basic network technologies understanding

·         Basic knowledge of Telecom networking, including security redundancy

·         Able to articulate technical topics(e.g. WAN protocols, IP networking)

  Able to assess competencies of technical team and make appropriate work assignments.   Able to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including Directors and above, to achieve  objectives Work well with business representatives and Project Managers  Able to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time accurately and effectively Acquire and cultivate effective relationships with Perimeter eSecurity peers Provides guidance to co-workers Able to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed Proactively escalate issues appropriately to manager and provides recommended solutions Able to work in a team environment Able to take direction
