Advanced Patient Advocacy (APA,LLC) provides eligibility screening and enrollment services through partnerships with healthcare providers.  We are seeking to make a socioeconomic difference for the uninsured and underinsured population by providing them access to government and other third-party medical assistance.  In an effort to help alleviate the cost of healthcare, each person is screened for all state, local, and federal indigent plans including Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare as well as any other porgrams available in the respective state.

APA, LLC is looking for a high energy candidate that enjoys working with people.  Case work experience and working knowledge of State and Federal programs such as Medicaid and Social Security Disability is a plus.  This job demands strong time management and organization skills along with the desire to advocate for patients. 

Eligibility Advocate Position:

This position will provide assistance to patients within hospitals as they screen patients for eligibility, complete applications, and follow-up with social service agencies and other third-party eligibility services. Applicant should be computer and internet literate as most of the companies systems are web-based. 

 

Most daily activities will include:

• Assist with the entry of all referrals and account documentation.

• Assist in attempting to contact and screen patients for eligibility.

• Complete and copy all relevant applications.

• Follow up with agencies to ensure submitted applications are processed in a timely manner.

• Assist in appealing denied applications.

• Update all hospital and company systems with current activity.

• Submit verified billing numbers to facilities.

• Provide hospital with all requested information in a timely manner.

• Comply with all state and federal regulations and company policies that include but not limited to patient
