Pearson Curriculum K-12 digital solutions team serves the public, private and charter school communities in a designated district territory. The Digital Curriculum Sales Specialist is the product expert for the district or region. The specialist must develop in depth product understanding and the ability to assist account executives in matching customer needs to product solutions. The specialist provides support to the sales team by performing product demonstraions, facilitating technical discussions, acting as liaison with regional marketing initiatives and communicating feedback with Product Management. Taking direction from the District Sales Manager, the Sales Specialist is responsible for coordination and implementation of a variety of sales activities designed to support the district sales plan. The Specialist also is responsible to aid in the development and training of newly hired account executives, and providing product updates and ensuring seasoned account executives maintain their product proficiencies. This position requires extensive travel throughout the district territories, including overnight stays. The ideal candidate will possess a formal education, college degree or the equivalent in experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop an extensive, in depth understanding of a complex product and market. Knowledge of digital education solutions, in particular the Pearson product portfolio, is desired. Prior experience as an educator or education product trainer is essential. Strong affinity and understanding of technology solutions and the ability to communicate this knowledge and ' translate' to teachers, administrators, and other customer contacts is required. Familiarity with sales and purchasing cycles as they relate to school district, Title I and other Federal funding guidelines will present a strong advantage. Sales specialists serve a district sales team and must be able to shift focus and priorities as needed, while helping the sales team to achieve district revenue goals.A professional yet friendly customer service attitude will enhance the candidate's ability to perform well and grow within this service-oriented company.
