SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems. Our continued success and growth has produced a need for two Electronics Service Technician positions in our Anchorage location.

The primary function of this position is to provide a complicated level of technical support at the highest level of customer service while servicing, inspecting, and/or installing fire alarm, sound, CCTV, communications and nurse call.

Responsibilities:
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with the Service Dispatcher, A & D Service Supervisor and our customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Read and understand complicated blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, software/system programs and operation/product manuals.
Required to lift and/or carry equipment and tools, which may be over forty (40) pounds. Working environment may involve climbing ladders and scaffolding with equipment, up to forty feet. Capable of working in cramped workspaces such as ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.
Must adhere to all OSHA and SimplexGrinnell safety policies and procedures
Will be required to be "on call" and may be required to work overtime.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
One year direct related experience servicing SimplexGrinnell or industry related equipment.
Must be proficient in the use and application of personal computers including DOS and Windows 2000 programs.
Posess working knowledge of test equipment such as multi meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communicating devices.
Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State and local codes.
Must obtain and retain NICET Level II Certification within two (2) years of hire.
