Electronic Systems Project Engineer - MI

Summary 

Our client, a recognized leader in consumer products, is looking for an Electronic Systems Project Engineer to be responsible for the delivery of new electronic control systems.  To do this, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative electronic features then integrate them seamlessly into the final product.  You’ll be the key person for specifying hardware solutions, overseeing algorithm development, and thoroughly testing the overall system.  Many of the projects will be developed by third parties (here and overseas), so you will make sure the product requirements are being translated properly, robust design processes are being followed, and things stay on time. 

This is a great opportunity to hone and expand your skills in systems engineering, embedded design, and project management as you’ll be working with a world class controls team.  The company is experiencing a great deal of growth in Michigan right now and this position will give you the opportunity to help shape that growth. They're located right on Lake Michigan and offer a beautiful place to live that's within driving distance of Kalamazoo and Chicago.

Qualifications

·         BSEE and 2+ years of experience in electronic controls development (hardware, software, or systems).

·         Good understanding of Robust Product Design processes.

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·         Any experience in Six Sigma, algorithm development, control theory, system simulation tools, and/or embedded hardware/software design would be a plus.
