About the Opportunity
Acacia Federal Savings Bank (AFSB) is one of the top 10 financial institutions in the Washington DC area is looking to add to a Loan Officer to their expanding mortgage group. The company is part of the UNIFI Companies which is a full service financial organization. AFSB is a Virginia based savings bank with over $1.4 billion in assets. AFSB is able to offer a number of excellent programs that include jumbo loan amounts with confirming prices 100% LTV to $700k, stated and no ratio income products to 90% Jumbo, FHA, VA and VHDA loans and portfolio arm programs with flexible guidelines. Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

Department Function:

The Branch Operations Department has two operational areas. The front office personnel are responsible for the daily administration of cash operations, wire transfers and cross selling of other AFSB products. The back office operations is responsible for the daily Management, Administration and servicing of AFSB's Electronic Banking Products and Services.

Essential Functions:

Incumbent is responsible and accountable for the following:

1. Responsible for the daily Management, Administration and servicing of AFSB's Electronic Banking Products and Services.
2. Responsible for successfully accessing all processing systems and ensuring that all transactions are properly credited to the accountholder and settled accurately to the General Ledger in accordance with department procedures.
3. Responsible for finding resolutions for the ACH originators, as needed. Must understand the processing functions, rules and regulations for ACH Originators as well as ACH receivers.
4. Responsible for processing Visa Chargeback requests, timely, and in accordance with Reg E and Visa Rules and Regulations
5. Responsible for a timely resolution of verbal and written customer inquiries for all products and services as required by Regulation E.
6. Responsible for processing of Visa Debit Cards and the Visa HSA Check Card applications in accordance with Visa's Regulations and the Banks Operational Procedures.
7. Responsible for the timely administration of AFSB's Home Banking Product including Bill Payment/Presentment. Provide timely and accurate response to customers request for IB connectivity, and other consumer internet banking products.
8. Assist AVP Operations and other Management Personnel at AFSB with special projects efforts to improve process efficiencies and enhance current systems.
9. Assist the Branch Office Personnel with the accurate transfer of domestic and international funds as needed.
10. Other Duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

College degree in a finance related field with recent experience in Electronic Banking, or five years of work related experience of which two years must have been in a management capacity.
In addition, the incumbent should possess the following:
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Rules and Regulations governing the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network
• Must have strong communication skills, oral and written
• Must be detail oriented
• Demonstrated analytical skills to include transactional analysis and the ability to troubleshoot transaction errors from multiple processing systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Visa Check Card Products
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal and State Regulations governing all the Electronic Banking Products
• Demonstrated knowledge of Consumer Internet Banking Products including Bill Payment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Wire Transfer Programs to include use of Fedline Software
