Job Summary for Electrical Systems Design Position:

This position: Focuses upon the Electrical Systems aspects of: Engine Controls ECS APU Fuel System Interfaces Will be responsible for all aspects of design, testing, certifying and supporting the Electrical systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Electrical Systems Design Engineer: Designs, tests, certifies and supports within Electrical Systems Engineering. Applies diversified knowledge and experience of Engineering principles and practices in specific technical areas. Makes decisions independently on Engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues as well as to plan and coordinate work. Will use advanced techniques along with the modification and extension of theories and practices of a specific field. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a large and important Engineering project and/or a number of small projects with many complex features. Provides technical guidance to other Engineers. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed Engineering evaluation tests, products, and/or equipment when necessary data are insufficient, or confirmation by testing is advisable. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of Company product. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures that all work meets customer requirements.

Requirements:

Required Skills for the Electrical Systems Design Engineer position include the following: Knowledge of FAR/JAR prerequisites required. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, a related curriculum, and/or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. Advanced degree in Engineering-related field preferred. Must be able to communicate with vendors, customers and management. 10 years of similar Electrical Systems Design experience.
