The requirements are:

Manage design & engineering of industrial projects. 10-12 yrs engineering exp Power Industry, 5+ yrs managing Electrical projects, Experiencein industrial industries (copper, gold, mineral processing, coal fired or combined cycle power facilities, gas or sulfur processing facilities), US Citizen, BS in engineering, PE license, EIT-FE. Scope: Under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, the Supervising Discipline Engineer is responsible for: Managing the discipline engineering to meet client and project requirements regarding scope, scheduling and budget  The coordination of discipline's engineering with those of other disciplines. Maintaining records, files and other documents pertaining to discipline Relationships: Provides liaison between Discipline Engineers and Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Chief Discipline Engineer with respect to project scope, budget, scheduling and overall engineering and design requirements. Works closely with the Chief Discipline Engineer and project engineering manager on evaluations and promotions and the overall technical improvement of the group

Responsibilities:

Assists the project engr manager in identifying the engineering documents that must comply with regulatory/licensing requirements. Assume in charge responsibility for engineering documents to comply with applicable state laws/regulations, including affixing registered engineer seal when required. Obtain from the Project Eng Manager the project schedule and scope of work for discipline and prepare a detailed scope of work for the engineering effort involved in discipline. Establish schedules and budgets to meet the project requirements and obtain approval from the Project Engineering Manager and Chief Discipline Engineer. Maintain technical coordination with the Chief Discipline Engineer, under the guidance of the project engineering manager to assure adherence to industry codes, regulatory requirements and sound engineering practice. Maintain coordination with the Chief Discipline Engineer under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, regarding discipline personnel and performance evaluations. Coordinate discipline engineering activities with those of other disciplines on the project Maintain engineering files and records. Direct the preparation of periodic reports and forecasts on the status of discipline and submit to the Project Engineering Manager. Schedule, direct and document discipline engineering meetings between Project Management, client, vendors, and other engineering groups. Develop the technical and managerial capabilities of subordinates. Complies with state requirements for continued education, maintains and obtains licenses as requested by his/her Chief Discipline Engineer.

Additional Responsibilities:

May be responsible for managing large discipline grup in complex projects. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4(four) accredited college

Experience:

15 + years engineering experience with a min of 5 years supervisory experience. Must be a licensed professional engineer

Additional Qualifications:

Heavy industrial work experience (i.e. power plant, oil & gas, chemicals, petro-chemical, refineries etc.). Field/construction exp desired; technical evaluation of equipment or system proposals. Experience in project execution utilizing CAE technology desired. Experience working in Consulting and/or A/E or EPC firms. Preparation of equipment specifications and purchase requisitions Preparation of conceptual engineering. Licensed PE by Exam with EIT certificate. Advanced engineering degree desired Ability to lead an engineering team (6-20)
