What would your experience and talent bring to this Fantastic Direct Hire Opportunity with growing international organization? In this Direct Hire position, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of control systems for our client, who is in the large structural steel industry. In this position, you will manage assigned projects in accordance with contract requirements, within budget, timeline and acceptable risk parameters. The position will also require travel both in the USA and abroad for customer meetings and occasional equipment commissioning or service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work with the Sales team to identify customer requirements with regard to electrical components and calculations and assist in preparing proposals for the electrical requirements. Provide technical support and problem resolution as needed. Review contract specifications, develop project plan from engineering through installation that is in compliance with the required standards; including developing timelines, budget and design reviews. Coordinate resources such as engineering, drafting/design, workshop and vendors in order to complete projects in compliance with company standards and customer expectations. Order materials for all parts and components needed to complete a project. Continually monitor resources to ensure the project stays within budget and contractual deadlines. Request quotes and manage vendors to ensure fair market prices and quality control for all work that is outsourced. May perform field management assessments, audits and customer service.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical related industry. Large structural or heavy industry experience preferred Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to effectively read and understand Auto CAD drawings Technical orientation with knowledge of electrical processes. General knowledge of steel, furnace or heavy industry. Understanding of the thermal and structural parts of a furnace. Understand the interaction between heat and various metals. Excellent communication and sales skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and be a good problem solver. Experienced in the development and implementation of both hardwired and PLC based control systems. Experienced in pneumatic and hydraulic control design. Experienced in the development of PLC applications for both sequential and process control using both Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7 PLC equipment. Experienced in development of HMI applications using Wonderware Intouch and Siemens WinCC. Familiarity with the following safety standards: NEC, NFPA 86 Proficiency with the following programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Charts/Graphs, Auto Cad (Electrical), Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5000,Siemens Step7 and Macros (not required but a plus) Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may also supervise Electrical Engineer
