Electrical Engineer – Illinois
Summary
In this role as an Electrical Engineer for a division of a Fortune200 company, you will work on new product planning, specifying, sourcing and evaluating of electrical components for industrial equipment. You will plan and design the electrical systems and controls for new and existing products, tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
You will:
· Plan and perform engineering research, design development and manufacturing engineering assignments involving new and/or existing products or components.
· Accomplish engineering assignments associated with research, design, development, sourcing and manufacture of parts and components associated with the engineering project.
· Manage work schedules to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
· Coordinate designers, technicians and drafters assigned to projects.
· Evaluate progress and results and recommend changes in procedures.

Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline is required.
· 1-5 years of electrical engineering experience in a related manufacturing environment required.
· Ability to program microprocessors is required.
· Familiarity with UL and IEC standards is required.
· Familiarity with techniques and procedures for the laboratory and field measurement of voltage, current, frequency, etc. is required.
· Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and PADS, ORCAD or equivalent.
· Ability to work in a matrix environment and effectively lead multifunctional teams.
· Familiarity with the selection and application of microprocessors and other devices as they relate to the design of motor controllers and motion control is desired.
· Experience with Lean and Design for Six Sigma is a plus.
