Presently Schetter Electric, Inc. is seeking talented individuals for the position of Electrical Engineer / Engineering Manager for our Sacramento location.  At Schetter Electric, Inc. an Electrical Engineer / Engineering Manager is an integral part of our TEAM that provides engineering oversight of the electrical design performed by others in the Engineering Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Lead project design TEAM in the preparation of new or revised design layouts from rough sketches or from general engineering design information (verbal instructions and notes).  Create new technical drawings and update existing drawings using AutoCAD.  Develop, modify and/or review drawings according to established standards.  Draft detailed drawings, such as wiring diagrams, layout drawings, electrical detail drawings, and drawings of intermediate and final assemblies for use in assembly, installation and repair of electrical components and equipment.  Review all work for completeness and accuracy.

 

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California (BSEE and CA PE).  Proficiency in AutoCAD and SKM Power Tools is required.  Must have strong working knowledge of the National Electric Code. Able to manage and oversee multiple large and/or small projects on an ongoing bassis.  Successful history of Engineering Single Line Diagrams, Instrument Loop Diagrams, Power Plans, Title 24 Lighting and Power requirements, NEC, CBC, IBC/UBC and all applicable NFPA codes.
