Electric / Electronic Engineer
1 Year Contract Position - Possible Extension
The ideal candidate will have experience in interacting with suppliers, vehicle assembly plants and other Engineering groups to resolve issues, identify needs, and translate them into Engineering requirements.
The Electric / Electronic Engineer will: Design and develop engine control systems for integration into the electrical system and the Powertrain control system of the vehicle. This is inclusive of system block diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, detail wiring harness, bills of material and installation documentation. Develop and release technical specifications for the next generation Powertrain controllers and components for multiple vehicle platforms. This includes generation of interface control documents for engine and after treatment control electronics and feature definition for engine control systems that support an industry leadership position in the area of Powertrain control. Apply theoretical principles and engineering techniques to design a vehicle that is reliable, serviceable, energy efficient and competitive using the latest technology available in the industry. Interface and coordinate with Suppliers, Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing, Customers and other Engineering personnel in product development and the validation phase. Participate in vehicle system FMEAs and analysis of supplier FMEAs. Perform system and circuit analysis of complex electrical / electronic systems for trucks. Keep up to date in technical areas of specialty while developing expertise in other areas.

Requirements:
Required Skills for this Electric / Electronic Engineer position include the following: Minimum 2 years experience in design, development, or application of electrical / electronic control systems. Able to analyze circuits used in vehicle engine control systems and power distribution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as personal computer office automation and presentation skills.
Education Requirements: B.S.E.E. or B.S.M.E. with Electrical / Electronic Product Development experience
