The Application Team Coordinator (ATC) supervises their team and coordinates/collaborates across other teams or projects.  This includes supervising cross-functional teams consisting of Sutter Health IT, Affiliate(s), system and/or other related functional resources required for IT projects including any new software installations, interface/integration, and major application upgrades.  This position requires minimal supervision as the individuals in this position are self-starters and take full responsibility for the projects assigned under the direction of the Product /Department Manager.  The ATC will provide management to team members and coordinates application team activities. This position will oversee the assignment of key resources required to complete system-wide and facility level implementation and support activities including the File Maintenance team. Also ensures staff adheres to training, certification, testing, and accreditation requirements of their module(s). This position will help define business objectives, works with clinical staff, IT Product Managers, IT Technical Services, customers, vendors, peers, cross-functional teams and user groups to define system-wide standards as they relate to their project, to include: working closely with "Production Support" Manager to ensure smooth process for uploads into Production (Ambulatory) plus ambulatory integrated development, staging, and production; working closely with Testing Manager to ensure changes have all been routed for appropriate level of testing prior to moves and testing documents updated; and working closely with Training Manager to ensure changes have all been updated into training documents and FM staff goes through appropriate training. The ATC ensures standard naming/numbering conventions are followed within integrated build team. The ATC will also prepare status reports; create working design and specification documents for the implementation of applications, systems and enhancements or modifications that may be needed. This position particpates in steering committee and other committees in relation to master files and other topics. Position will oversee periodic audits of the environments for standards, file build, and standardization. Also ensures  documentation is stored and updated with version control. This position must maintain a familiarity with new and currently installed applications/modules in order to provide guidance to the team in troubleshooting functionality and providing support and direction on the effective usage and continued growth of the products.  This individual must have a thorough understanding of the appropriate business and clinical functions and processes within each affiliate organization and the Sutter Enterprise. The ATC will utilize advanced project management tools and techniques to provide project guidance and direction.  Key to Sutter's business plan, the role of Sutter Health Information Technology is to make electronic data and communications available to Sutter Health employees, providers and patients to support the health and well-being of the community, enhance patient care and safety, and improve business processes and performance. Information Technology's (IT) key approaches to meet these needs consists of the Applications, Telecommunications, Project Management, Web, and Technology. We continue to review IT optimization across our affiliates, regions and entire enterprise. ·         EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. If the bachelor's degree is in any other field, formal education in Project Management or equivalent work experience is required. Experience in managing large, complex Information Technology projects is preferred. An MBA or PMI certification is preferred. ·    ExperienceA minimum of five to seven years of project management and/or equivalent management experience is required as is the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and other standard project management and office automation tools to support effective documentation and communication.  Experience successfully supervising teams and implementing and supporting business and/or clinical applications that require coordination of resource, budget development, and project planning is required.  A minimum of five years IT and/or related business experience is required.  Thorough understanding of the complexities of application software, the use of project management tools, and development of policies and procedures is required. Understanding of the Healthcare industry, development and implementation of Healthcare related information systems, and the intricacies of detailed analysis are required.  Supervisory experience is required. Two or more years of experience configuring and using specific application software is required or related healthcare integrated applications. Prior experience demonstrating effective teamwork, collaboration (both as a member and a leader) in the development, coordination, and implementation of large, complex projects is required, preferably in an information systems environment in a healthcare setting. Must be familiar with all areas of  applications software.  The ability to create and maintain workflow process diagrams is also required. Experience with document imaging (OnBase), healthcare revenue cycle and health information management (HIM) strongly preferred. ·    KnowledgeProven, demonstrated success in the techniques and communication skills needed to successfully direct complex computerized system implementation projects is required. Knowledge of Health Information Systems is required. Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies is highly desired.  Extensive knowledge of Healthcare operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system and use of information system applications in the practicing Healthcare environment is required. Knowledge of computer systems in PC, client-server, and web-enabled systems is required.  Must possess knowledge of current technology and Healthcare trends and how it is best utilized in implementing clinical and/or business applications. ·    Special Skills/EquipmentMust have the ability to write / update policy and procedures for coordinated Epic master file adds/updates/deletes. Must have the ability to work closely on the application release upgrade. Must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, good presentation and team building skills.  Must have the ability to coordinates communication regarding standards with integrated build team members and ensures all approving bodies has been addressed. Must be able to manage and/or be involved in multiple projects at the same time.  Must be able to manage project tasks according to a project plan.  Must have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize multiple tasks and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality products.  Must be able to act as a team leader.  Must be able to articulate technical and user needs so that it is concise and easily understood by all.  Must be proficient at specifying user requirements, interacting with technical staff, application staff and vendors and documenting system needs, outcomes, and procedures. Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service and responding to user needs in a prompt, courteous manner.   Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new things.  Must have the ability to maintain a high level of energy and creativity and be able to work independently.
