SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY

Director of Education and Licensure

Southwest Minnesota State University invites applications for a full time, twelve-month position of Director of Education and Licensure to begin July 1, 2008 or a date to be negotiated. The position will direct the field experience office and serve as the licensure officer for the university. This will include all campus assignments as well as all off-campus assignments at the distance learning sites. Service on state-wide committees and the distance learning supervision will require some travel. The position reports to the Dean of the College of Business, Education and Professional Studies and coordinates with the Chair of the Education Department. The position will supervise a staff of two. Master's Degree in Education and three years of teaching experience P-12 as a licensed teacher are required. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, decision-making and technology skills are required. Supervision experience is preferred.
