Lafourche Parish School Board is presently accepting applications for the following positions:

Educational Interpreters

The educational interpreter is one who translates the spoken word into sign language for hearing impaired or deaf students.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for Provisional Educational Interpreter Certification or Qualified Educational Interpreter Certification.

Salary range: $25,249 - $33,467 for Provisional Educational Interpreter Certification; and $30,949 - $40,262 for Qualified Educational Interpreter Certification.

The deadline for receipt of application form, along with resume and copy of teaching certificate, is 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
