Position Description:

Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, the Education Associate provides a combination of deep knowledge of K-12 education and educational issues plus strong organizational, interpersonal and management skills to a wide variety of projects in research, client management, consultant services and school improvement initiatives undertaken by the International Center for Leadership in Education. Building relationships with schools and districts that are committed to rigor and relevance for all students is fundamental to this position. Tasks include: - Manage and lead components of the International Center's major education initiatives. - Lead and manage the creation, planning and dissemination of services for large scale education initiatives and contracts and work with the Chief Academic Officer, the Consulting Services Director, and other International Center departments, and outside vendors and organizations to accomplish these efforts. - Provide advice, planning and assistance with various school conference activities. - Personally, as required, provide consultant services to districts, schools and other education organizations. - Assist with management of activities associated with International business partners. - Research and analyze current education issues and practices to support International Center initiatives. Some travel required

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include Masters degree or higher in education and/or education administration experience or equivalent relevant experience is required. An advanced degree or certificate is preferable. At least 5+ years of teaching, administration, general education and/or related experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point). Knowledge of current issues and research associated with K-12 curriculum, instruction assessment and school improvement in general (i.e. NCLB, school leadership, school culture, date-driven decisions). e multiple internal and external clients, understanding of trends and current research in K12 education, ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, strong commitment to serve the needs of all children.
