DMI is a family-focused intervention program that provides play-based educational therapeutic services, which focus on the needs of children and their families, serving Ventura County (Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Moorpark, Ojai, Fillmore, Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura).
EARLY INTERVENTION TEACHER (INFANT SPECIALIST): Immediate opening for an Early Intervention Teacher (Infant Specialist) to work in an Early Intervention Program. Flexible schedule (part-time or full-time), paid mileage. Medical and dental benefits, and retirement savings plan are available for full-time employees. Requirements are a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Liberal Studies, or a related field. 1 or more years of Early Childhood Education required. Bilingual a plus but is not required. Must have family-focused one-on-one experience with children and their families. The infant specialist provides in-home and community-based educational social services, in collaboration with the parents, to children 0-3 years of age who are described as having a developmental disability. The role of the facilitator is to educate the families in child development, stimulate developmental milestones, assess and monitor the child's development. The infant specialist works in a team with OT, PT, & Speech Pathologists. Integrate child and family into the community.
PLAYGROUP AIDE: Immediate opening for a Playgroup Aide to work for an Early Intervention Program's Intervention Playgroup. Part-time hours, the group meets only on Saturdays between 9am to 1pm. Requirements for this position are a minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood Education and experience working with children and their families in a group setting. Bilingual a plus but is not required. The Saturday Group Aide assists staff at the Intervention Playgroup, which serves children 0-3 years of age who are described as having a developmental disability.
