Baylor Trucking, Inc. is an asset based truckload carrier with primary service lanes east of the Mississippi River.  We currently operate 230 satellite equipped trucks and 750 trailers.  We pride ourselves in doing the small things right, taking care of our employees and offering unmatched service to our customers.  Our "family values" operation creates a stable atmosphere to balance work and home.  This has prevented Baylor from becoming the "revolving door" as seen with many companies in the industry.  The combination of excellent service and above average retention has allowed our company to grow and we are currently looking for a Driver Manager to be located in our Portand, TN Operations Center.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Must be able to maintain and direct a fleet of 30 to 40 trucks and drivers Computer literate/ knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS400/Innovative Software Must have previous transportation management experience Must have excellent employee relations skills Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must have good customer relations, vendors and interaction with shipping personnel at our customer facilities Must be have knowledge of DOT rules and regulations Must be able to adapt to change Must have strong problem-solving abilities Must have an impeccable work ethic
