As our Documentation Manager you will lead a team of documentation professionals to improve overall management of company policies, procedures, instructions and records as determined by relevant standards and stakeholder expectations.

 

Specific tasks for this position will include but are not limited to:

 

1.      Develop, implement and administer the overall document and record control infrastructure.

2.      Build, lead, and manage the Documentation team.

3.      Identify key metrics to measure and improve the department efficiency as determined by key stakeholders.

4.      Partner with group and other business units to ensure that document control best known practices and methods are shared across the company.

5.      Partner with training department to deploy document and record management methodologies throughout the organization.

6.      Communicate with internal customers to ensure department support expectations are met.

7.      Lead and/or work with cross functional teams to improve overall control of our documents and records.

8.      Assist in the creation of Technical Instructions, and partner with Technology Group in the management of Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).

9.      Support quality, environmental and safety audits.

10.  Responsible for the storage and retrieval of all relevant electronic and physical turbine records.  Including but not limited to sales, installation, and service.

11.  Responsible for making available at the point of use the latest revision of business and technical procedures.

12.  Responsible for removal of obsolete materials from point of use.

13.  Manage databases as needed to verify data integrity.

14.  Oversee policy/process development and enforcement relative to document control and assist with policy and process development for other departments.

15.  Responsible for electronic (SAP based) document management system.

16.  Supervise activities for distributing technical documentation to third parties. 

 

Interested candidates must meet the minimum qualifications:

 

§         Bachelor’s degree and

§         5+ years experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ISO9001 quality management system including a certifiable document control system or equivalent combination of education and experience.

§         Knowledge and experience on server-based document management systems.

§         Ability to coach in the use of document creation software for example: MS Office, MS Front Page, Adobe Acrobat, Vizio, Power Point, Excel, MS Project. 

§         Demonstrated ability in building excellent business relationships.

§         Strong communication skills to provide verbal and written reports at various levels in the organization.

§         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to represent the company with customers and suppliers.

§         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

§         Ability to work well with matrix environments and different cultures; solid conflict management skills.

§         Ability to work with a wide degree of latitude and creativity.

§         Ability to travel as needed
