MANAGER
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
A supervisory and leadership role responsible for the management oversight of all operational aspects and systems, O&M, Capital, and Revenue budgets, community and customer relations, and personnel in a large geographic area.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two or four year college degree preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Management responsibilities for a team of professionals including, service personnel, sales, administrative and outside contractors doing work for the division
Help develop and coordinate implementation of SourceGas LLC operating policies and guidelines
Develop, track and control an annual operating budget for the area, including developing ways to reduce costs
Develop, track and control an annual capital expenditure budget for the area
Develop, track and justify regulated and non-regulated revenue budgets
Track, analyze and act on business reporting information
Develop and manage goals, timelines and tactics for operating area that support the Corporate and Company strategies
Represent SourceGas on rate changes, franchise issues and policy changes to regulatory/governing bodies
Encourage system load growth and development of our non-regulated products and services
Oversee construction activities in the area
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
Ensure DOT compliance is met
Accountable for all retail assets in area, including distribution systems, facilities, vehicles, tools, construction equipment, etc.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience, Specific Knowledge, Certification, Licenses
Valid Drivers license
Strong ability to interact with contractors, employees, regulators, corporate support teams, and customers
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of company policies and practices, and regulatory and tariff requirements
Knowledge of operating costs, budgets, reporting and research
Project management skills
Working knowledge of National, State and local codes
Competencies/Skills
Technical:
Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software)
Bachelors degree in a business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Basic knowledge of all technical areas of LDC operations, including non-regulated sales activities
Working knowledge of DOT code and requirements
Ability to motivate and encourage people
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Business:
Knowledge of company policies and practices, and regulatory requirements
Ability to analyze business reporting information
Strong business management skills including personnel development
Core:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Customer orientation
Ability to coach others
Working Conditions:
Ability to perform essential functions of the job
Ability to work in a team environment and interact with support groups, supervisor, and co-workers
Be available for and provide emergency response as necessary
Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines or emergency response as required
