MPH Industries, Inc. is a division of MPD, Inc., an employee-owned electronics manufacturer located in Owensboro, Kentucky. MPH manufactures handheld radars, moving radars, the DocuCam police video systems and True View DVD video systems, Speed Monitor speed displays and Speed Monitor Trailers, used predominately by law enforcement agencies.

MPH Industries, Inc. is in need of a District Sales Manager to cover the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

The expectations of the job are as follows.

Learn to operate, demonstrate, and train customers on the use of MPH products.
Employ a technical sales approach which goes beyond relationship selling by listening to customer need and explaining the capabilities of MPH products with regard to customer needs.
Prospect and qualify sales leads, prepare sales presentations, make sales calls, meet customer needs, close sales and follow-up with customers to insure products meet their needs and they know how to operate them.
Provide continuous market feedback to MPH management.
Provide sales forecasts as required.
Work as a team with Inside Sales Representatives, Customer Sales Representatives and other employees at MPH.
Must cover the territory will travel a minimum of 80-90% time.
Must be computer proficient and able to make extensive use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

The ideal candidate will have the desire, initiative and capability to hit realistic sales budgets and earn in excess of $100,000 or more per year; have the experience to organize and work efficiently, adapt to competing demands, and build professional relationships based on ethical behavior.

Preferred skills/qualifications:
Five years of direct sales experience into local and state level agencies while maintaining an excellent track record.
Record of having sold products in a multi-state territory
Record of having traveled extensively (4-5 days per week)
Experience selling into law enforcement/emergency response markets
Experience selling technical/electronic products
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
