Job Title: District Sales Manager Polymer Products - MCE Report To: National Sales Mgr. Location: Minneapolis, MN Job Goals: Responsible for sales of high purity fluid handling products, fluoropolymer components and custom manufactured solutions into the following markets: Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, New Energies, Flat Panel and Microelectronics. Maintain and grow existing customer base while developing new markets and new accounts. Identify new application opportunities for existing and developmental products. Monitors competitive environment and adjusts territory selling and business strategies accordingly. Territory includes: Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, Utah and the the upper Midwest. Education, Skills and Requirements: • Bachelor degree: engineering degree emphasizing mechanical design, chemistry and/or materials. • 3-5 years of selling experience preferably in technical or plastics field. • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills. • Knowledge of Microsoft WORD and EXCEL programs. Responsibilities: • Manage territory to meet/exceed business goals and objectives in terms of gross sales, profit plans and budget. • Identify new opportunities via the collection of competitive information and the reporting of new market/technology trends leading to the development of new product/market programs. • Collaborate with marketing to assist in the development of advertising and promotional programs, telemarketing plans and tradeshow participation necessary to achieve product line sales objectives. • Indentify and foster opportunities for new product sales. • Maintain effective communication with SBU management and staff, customers and prospect base • Work with manufacturing operations to provide accurate and timely information regarding customer demand for the cost effective scheduling of manufacturing operations necessary to support sales and service objectives. • Maintain and update accurate territory sales forecast •Travel 50%+ of time WEBSITES: http://www.saint-gobain-corporation.com/ Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V
