Versitec, a division of Cranel, Inc., is a leader in product service and support, specializing in providing customers 'single point of contact' service and support for a wide variety of document imaging hardware, and data storage hardware and software.
In January 2008, Cranel Inc. announced the integration of the Cranel Imaging and Versitec business units because both serve a common VAR customer base, and the value to the VARs is best realized when their solutions are presented together in a unified manner. Cranel Imaging products generate Services opportunities for Versitec and Versitec service solutions create opportunities for Cranel Imaging to sell more product. This Sales Consultant position is a unique opportunity to provide customers a total product and service solution to help them grow their business.
Cranel Imaging Product Primary Responsibilities
· New account (reseller) acquisition and the existing account management necessary to meet established individual gross profit goals within an assigned territory
· Dedicate the majority of their time to revenue generating activities; e.g. face-to-face sales calls, outbound telephone prospecting, business development events, and account retention activities
· Coordinate with the Inside Sales Team to orchestrate and facilitate all internal and external processes for account set-up through quoting and order processing in support of their assigned account base
· Lead quoting and price negotiations with existing VAR customer and prospect base
· Establish and manage responsibilities with the industry leading vendors whose products are distributed by Cranel Imaging
Versitec Service Primary Responsibilities
Promote Versitec service portfolio through the VAR channel in the document imaging industrySell Versitec services to the end-user customer in cooperation with the VAR Leverage the Versitec value proposition to win new reseller customers for Cranel Imaging Grow the overall service business throughout the VAR channel including those VAR’s that do not buy from Cranel Imaging Manage the existing Versitec service territory ensuring contract renewal while growing the existing base of customers.
Experience and Requirements:
Ø 3+ years of selling experience, with at least 2 years of direct outside sales.
Ø A track record of exceeding quota assignments.
Ø Willingness to travel within the assigned territory at levels approaching 50%.
Ø Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
Ø Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ø Experience with sales support information tools (e.g. CRM applications, etc)
