We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic District Sales Manager to help grow our business in the California Bay Area. This position is responsible for providing superior customer satisfaction in an effort to achieve sales objectives. The ideal candidate must be willing to live in the San Francisco or San Jose area, and be open to travel to from the Oregon/California border to Central California. No overnight travel required but may be necessary on occasion. This position is responsible to the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with our local manufacturer’s representatives in the territory, the District Sales Manager will be expected to:
§ Respond quickly and efficiently to all sales leads generated by Pentair.
§ Working with and assisting the manufacturer’s rep firm in the territory.
§ Present products and service offerings to customers.
§ Achieve or surpass individual sales targets/goals.
§ Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning products and pricing.
§ Maximize the potential for conversion of leads to sales.
§ Ensure accurate reporting and accounting of Sales leads assigned through proper use of daily recaps and ongoing reporting.
Requirements:
§ Minimum 3 to 5 years successful field sales experience, preferably in a related field.
§ Knowledge of the electronics packaging industry an asset, although full product training will be provided.
§ Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed planning, organization and time management skills.
§ Have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service capabilities of the company in response to the unique needs of each customer.
