Essential Duties:
• Produces revenue through wholesale sales of new vehicles, Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, accessories, extended warranties, and promotion materials to franchised dealerships. Assists dealers in selecting appropriate inventory level and vehicle mix.
• Identifies dealerships’ financial and operational deficiencies and make recommendations to dealer management for improved performance, including sales pay plans, processes, etc.
• Ensures dealers adhere to franchise operating standards and takes corrective actions to improve Mazda’s market representation.
• Assists dealers in developing advertising and merchandising strategies to effectively promote and sell Mazda vehicles.
• Inform dealers on new products, product and company developments, incentives and promotions.
• Develops and conducts retail sales process and product knowledge training. Trains dealership personnel in effective customer relations techniques and e-commerce.
• Coordinates local trade shows, auto shows, and promotional events.
• Assists region staff management with dealer terminations, appointments and buy/sells.
• Prepares reports detailing progress of each dealer and competitive market information
• Conducts annual Dealer Business Review process with each dealer. Identified objectives, timelines and recommended actions.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Training/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in business administration, automotive technology, marketing or related discipline from four year college or university; and 3-5 years of automotive.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance related to analyzing and interpreting administrative practices; Car dealership operations; Sales methods, principles and techniques; Retail dealer service and parts department operations and procedures; Customer relations techniques; Basic automotive technology; Dealer pricing structures; "Lemon Law:; Compliance and consumer protection regulations within assigned district.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage activities for assigned district; Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Prepare administrative reports and business correspondence; Establish and maintain effective relationships with dealers, staff, senior management, customers, attorneys and public agencies.
