A company in one of the fastest growing retail industries today is looking for a performance-driven, self-motivated Multi-Unit Manager to start ASAP. Under limited supervision manages a maximum of 12 stores in a geographical area. Manages12 subordinate supervisors. Responsible for exchanging information, resolving problems and provide advice and guidance, and growth of the area. Requires frequent use of independent judgment and discretionary reasoning within the policies and procedures of the company. This person should also have experience in the start up of a new market. Site selection and build out experience would be a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Superior customer service

Area leadership – oversight of the associate training and development

Execution of processes

Maximize return on investment

 

Critical tasks:

 

Establishes and maintains superior customer service environment within the area stores by ensuring appropriate customer service principles are trained and practiced.

Drives the business by directing, planning, developing and implementing the activities that reflect strategic direction.

Directs store management through audits, field visits, reports, and action plan management.

Oversees store operations, especially growth through marketing and superior customer service.

Evaluates store business results, mentors store managers through P&L reviews, on the job corrections and performance management.

Participates in the process of developing new store sites.

Oversees staffing and retention on a weekly basis, works with store managers, regional human resources manager, and regional director to ensure future staffing needs are met.

Conducts training of current and new associates.

Communicates effectively and openly to share best practices and resolve issues.

Manages and mentors the team of managers.

Manages to the area-operating budget.

Creates and maintains professional network.

 

 

Education and/or Experience:


Experience managing a multi-unit retail area/division. Associate Degree with retail/management focus. Bachelor Degree in business management is preferred.
Previous Multi-Unit in a retail environment or similar background is preferred.
Ability to travel
