JOB SUMMARY:

The District Advisor directs and coordinates activities involved in operating retail stores in an assigned area by performing the following duties personally or through others. In addition, the Advisor maintains a contagious, positive attitude that promotes teamwork, a relentless pursuit of superior customer service, and a favorable image of the company.

 

BASIC Job Duties:

Support the Company Vision and Mission Statements and implement the strategies necessary to achieve them.

2.      Ensure that all assigned stores operate within established inventory levels, salary budgets (and other control lines), and gross profit margins to achieve maximum profitability.

3.      Accountable for building store sales and gross profits through implementation of corporate merchandising policies, procedures, and programs.

Actively assist with all promotions according to the Marketing Department. Conduct merchandise price surveys and observe competitors for changes in the street price of gasoline.   Uphold and enforce all Company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.Assure that personnel processes (hiring, training, employee evaluations, employee discipline and termination actions) are carried out in a legal and ethical manner,

7.      Supervise all store employees in a fair, consistent and impartial way, and in accordance with all E.E.O. guidelines.

8.      Monitor and assist in the professional development of subordinates for growth and promotion to maintain a high quality staff. Develop an individual to assist in job responsibilities during personal absences.

Ensure that all stores are providing the customer service that meets and or exceeds company standards and customer expectations.

10. Maintain high standards of store image ensuring that all stores are clean, well stocked, and ready for business.

Looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers. Capable to quickly analyze mathematical data to identifying trends and resolve potential problems.  Works well within a group problem-solving environment.

 

Position Prerequisites:

·        Two to three years experience working as a multi-unit supervisor in a retail setting and/or has successfully completed the training program.

·        Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PDI and Radiant (or Core-tec) computer software programs.

·        Must have a telephone, an insured car, and a valid driver’s license.

·        All District Advisors, whether promoted from within or hired from outside the company, will successfully complete a background check and drug testing.

·        Any criminal conviction (except minor traffic offenses) must be revealed, and depending on the nature of the conviction could result in disqualification for this position. Deception as to their existence or falsification of their exact nature will result in denial of employment.

 

Physical Demands of the Position:

·        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·        The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

·        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive a car. Overnight stays could be required at times.
