Omron Electronics LLC is looking for an energetic and focused Key Account Manager in St. Louis, MO to create and drive specifications from a top down approach, generate opportunities and market growth at Vertical Account targets, Named accounts, machine builders, and utilize supply chain partners, while growing sales in the states of southern Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Develop account plans for Vertical and Named Account targets in conjunction with the distribution channel.Develop and execute and manage a strategy for account penetration at existing accounts.Identify and qualify target account opportunities that match Omron’s product and application competencies in order to develop business at these target accounts.Execute and manage High project sales with end user customers at the enterprise and the production level.Develop specifications and product penetration of capital projects, set pricing, and manage OEM activities across boundaries for these projects.Build relationships (internal & external) with customers to achieve assigned sales and corporate goals for Omron Electronics.Manage some of the distributor requirements with in the territory.Interact with customers (internal and external) on a daily basis to insure their needs are met.Represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to that required to fulfill job responsibilities.Attain monthly and yearly sales goals established by management.Complete assigned reporting activities in a timely manner.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or two (2) year Technical School Degree with equivalent years of technical or military experience.Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated application solutions sales experience with OEM and End User customers. Experience selling through authorized distribution channels.Applied knowledge and selling experience in the industrial automation environment with enterprise level sales experience.Sales experience with some or all of the following products.
Machine vision systems
Advanced smart sensors (optical, proximity)
Sensors
Motion Control
PLC/HMI hardware, software and interfaces
Auto ID – barcode and RFIDEnergetic, aggressive and focused. Highly motivated self starter and financially driven.Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.Ability to sell direct and via indirect distribution channels.Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally.Good organization skills.Team player mentality but able to work independently as required.Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, and communication skills.Ability to travel.
