Shell's lubricants business, SOPUS Products, in the United States represents a significant portion of the Shell Group global lubricants business and ranks as a leader in the U.S. lubricants industry, which includes fast lubes, automotive/consumer products, and transport and industrial offerings to consumer and business customers. In addition to owning and operating ten blending and packaging facilities across the U.S., the Shell lubricants portfolio of well-known brands includes Pennzoil, Quaker State, Rotella T, Black Magic, Slick 50, Rain-X and Fix-A-Flat. Shell subsidiary Jiffy Lube International began in 1979 as an association of seven service centers. It was the first drive-through quick oil-change outlet. Today, there are more than 2,100 service centers in the United States and Canada servicing more than 29 million cars a year. SOPUS Products is currently seeking a Distributor Performance Manager/FBAM for their Louisiana location.
Responsibilities : Manage sales and non-selling activities with approximately 5-7 distributors in the territory
Key Accountabilities: Be the primary focal point for distributor channel for sales and non-sales related issues working closely with B2B and Supply Chain Direct all support activities related to channel for B2B including but not limited to: contract & program management, reporting of distributor performance metrics and communications Direct strategic effort to optimize the distributor network; create a high-value/low cost channel, alignment and market penetration are main drivers Direct and manage roll out and implementation of Shell Relationship Plus (SRP) Handle Operational and Financial Planning created for channel Have better ownership of distributor channel, economics, and customer needs Data management Target Shell brand alignment to 85% Increase ability to focus distributor growth efforts by B2B and segment Have access to distributor customer survey information Benchmark metrics from channel for comparison and analysis Have focused sales and marketing analysis on profitability by B2B, segments, and customers Direct all activities associated with distributor contracts including, but not limited to, new contracts, renewals and non-renewals Handle KPI Tracking Handle Document Management Ensure Primary Areas of Responsibility are maintained and optimized Work closely with B2B and B2C to ensure pricing and programs maximize distributor alignment Direct distributor policies and funding programs as defined by B2B Coordinate DFOA Program as defined by B2B Work closely with B2B and B2C to enforce distributor product quality assurance guidelines Balance the needs of B2B to efficiently manage the network Handle Consensus and Alignment Enforce established channel policies, programs and procedures as agreed with each respective B2B and B2C Manage global alignment demands Requirements : Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer Bachelor’s from accredited college/university or equivalent in work experience is preferred 7-10 years business experience including in-depth knowledge of lubricants business, industry trends, competitive and internal strengths/gaps, channels, pricing schemes and costing MBA degree preferred Must be a strategic thinker and capable of taking the US RTM effort to the next level
