Distribution Assistant

Johnstone Supply, Inc., an industry leading HVAC/R wholesale distributor, has an immediate opening at our Florida Distribution Center for a Distribution Assistant.  This position is responsible for providing customer service to stores, and maintaining daily shipping and receiving records by:

1.      Ensuring stores receive the right order at the right time by:  receiving member orders via phone, mail, or fax, and inputting into CRT; building and sectioning orders to prepare  master pick sheets for order fillers; finalizing corporate orders; and running packing lists.

2.      Providing customer service to members by responding to inquiries and researching problems concerning stock and order status. Edits orders as authorized.

3.      Providing information / reports to management staff  by obtaining data from the mainframe system.

4.      Assists in determining stock on hand by participating in annual inventory.

5.      Manages customer pick ups in a curtious, preofessional, and expeditious manner.

6.      Maintains department files and hard copy records.

7.      Ensures the safety of the work area by working in a safe manner and following current distribution safety rules.

The ideal candidate will have:

·         Strong Excel skills

·         Excellent math, computer data-entry  and data-manipulation skills

·         Strong organization skills and be detail-oriented

·         Strong records management skills

·         Experience working with pricing/numbers

·         Strong customer service
