APAC Tennessee located in Memphis, TN is considering candidates for the position of Dispatching supervisor.

The primary functions of this position include:
• Directing the work of all Lowboy and Heavy Equipment Service Truck Drivers. This person must be able to use discretion on how work is to be assigned and also in responding to emergency situations.
• Has the responsibility of determining how trucks are to be utilized and how deliveries and service calls are to be prioritized and scheduled.
• Appraises, disciplines, handles hourly employee complaints. Has the ability to determine how well an employee is performing, as well as to make disciplinary decisions regarding their actions, and can also make recommendations regarding promotions for hourly employees.
• Interviews, hires, and trains on an as-needed basis and has abilities to make recommendations in all areas of the hiring process.
• Works closely with the Shop Foreman in the day-to-day operations of the shop.

The requirements for this position are:
• High School Diploma
• 1-2 Years of Dispatching experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, as well as the internet required
• Prior experience in the heavy construction equipment industry strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi Department of Transportation permitting laws
and regulations strongly preferred.
