Responsible for developing, implementing, directing and evaluating performance improvement and education activities following organizational, professional, regulatory and accrediting body policies, procedures, requirements and standards.  Ensures that the Visiting Nurse Services of MI follows and adequately prepares for Regulations including JCAHO, MDCH, CMS, OSHA, HIPAA and MPRO (OBQI).  Provides continued, consistent educational training to all staff to ensure Quality Care across the spectrum of service areas.  Directly oversee staff, provides educational support for managment, ( I.E. coding, OASIS) and supports the mission and vision of the organization.

Qualifications:

Licensed to proactice as a Registered Nurse in the State of MI or Bachelor of Science in Health Care related field and or equivalent education.

3 years experience in Home Care and/or Hospice.

2 years experience with Home Care Regulatory and Accrediting bodies.

2 years Performance improvement/Quality expereience or related experiences.

Experience in leading multi-location groups to accomplish organizational goals.

Advanced statistical abilities aned analytical skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Basic knowledge of MS office software and audio-visual equipment.

Current Michigan driver's license and unsured automobile for daily use.

Preferred:

Master's degree in nursing, or health related field.

2 years management/leadership experience.

Healthcare education experience or related Educator-Trainer experience in a related area

Experience in creating, updating, and maintaining policies and procedures for a multi-location facility.
