This is a very exciting position with a very dynamic company. My client has over 10 offices across the country and is currently growing at over a 40% rate. The are one of the leaders in the Energy Efficiency Industry. We are currently looking for a Director of Texas Programs. This position will be responsible for start-up and implementation of energy efficiency programs in Texas. This position will provide management and leadership for my client in Texas, build relationships with utilities, guide new start-ups, and provide ongoing oversight of existing programs in the state.

Responsibilities include:

Manage and grow utility client relationships;Practice effective project management skills in leading multiple utility energy efficiency programs;Supervise program managers and assist them with hiring and managing of field and office support staff;Coordinate with other energy efficiency programs, corporate office, HR, Finance, Engineering, IT, and marketing departments;Plan and authorize program expenditures including the tracking and managing of any inventory;Realize continuous improvement of operations year over year;Have responsibility for region’s P&L; meet or exceed financial and strategic goals for the Texas Region; Oversee and approve monthly invoices and monthly activity reports to the clients;Track progress towards energy savings goals and budget spending to ensure achievement of goals within funding constraints;Extract information from a tracking system in order to manage a project/program;Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education

Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or other discipline;Advanced degree beneficial.

Skills and Experience:

At least five years in the energy industry with some experience in managing energy efficiency programs, non-residential preferred;At least three years management/supervisory experience including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring; Proficiency in financial management of multi-million dollar budgets;Strong Excel skills required. Proficiency in MS Word and Access experience or other database system preferred.Technical experience to manage staff that develops and reviews energy savings calculations to determine paybacks and incentive levels for customers in C&I lighting, HVAC, other measures.
