Purpose: Directs the Field Operations Department which executes all aspects of the installation and repair of Time Warner Cable’s video, HSD and digital telephone services.

Essential Job Functions:

• Directs Time Warner Cable’s Field Operations employees who provide installation and repair services and ensure adherence to all TWC installation standards as well as local, state and federal regulatory standards.

• Plan, implement and manage departmental goals and objectives to successful completion.

• Develop, monitor and manage Capital and Expense budgets.

• Recruit, train, develop and motivate the leadership team responsible for all installation and repair functions.

• Promote an environment that rewards accomplishment, learning and safety.

• Resolve problems with internal and external customers, which result from actions of the Field Operation Department and its employees or Contractors.

• Set appropriate installation and other work standards for the Field Operations Department and manage the successful achievement of those standards.

• Establish and review from time to time departmental policies and procedures.

• Assist in review and selection of materials, tools and test equipment used in the installation and repair process.

• Manage, measure and affect outcome of work quality for Field Operations Department.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Minimum of ten years of management experience in the cable, telecommunications or similar industry

• General knowledge of accounting procedures and experience with spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as cable billing systems

• Excellent people skills and ability to motivate individuals and groups to achieve a common goal

• Ability to understand and implement all TWC and Charlotte Division policies and procedures and knowledge of system design specifications

• A valid NC driver’s license is required


Legal or Financial Responsibilities: Requires adherence to Time Warner Standards of Business Conduct. Position must assist in maintaining the confidentiality of customer and business data at all times.

Communication Skill level:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
