Our client, a leading restaurant company is conducting a search for an Supply Chain Director – Position based in Southern CA

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for someone who has experience in the food , restaurant or related industry with an excellent background in total Supply Chain Management. The position is base din Southern California and we prefer local candidates, if possible. Position will  pay a base of $120-150K with an excellent bonus and benefit package.

In this role you will:

Manage all aspects of purchasing including the development of standards and operating policies related to procurement of all items purchased.

Manage all warehousing and inventory management functions as well as supervisory responsibility for over 200 people

Be in charge of all Logistics / Distribution operations and ensure 100% complete and on-time delivery. You will manage the company fleet operations including purchasing and maintenance of all company vehicles.

Generally, you will manage the entire Supply Chain function ensuring long-term strategic plans are in place as well as meeting the current day to day demands of the business.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

We prefer at least 10-15 years of experience in management / leadership roles preferably from a food background. Experience in the restaurant (QSR) industry is preferred, but not required. You must have a minimum of seven years of purchasing experience in food items (meat, produce preferred) . You must also have extensive experience in Logistics, Distribution, Inventory Management, Warehouse and Quality Management etc. as functions of the supply chain. Experience in Six Sigma and APICS,  CPM or other credentials are also preferred.

Four year college degree required.
