DIRECTOR OF STORE OPERATIONS

Houston/San Antonio/Austin/Brownsville, Texas areas

 

Responsibilities:

 

Oversee, organize, plan, control, & direct the operation of company stores in order to market & sell company products & services in targeted geographical areas.Interface with Regional Vice President to ensure store goals are being achieved & issues are being addressed.Ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profitability goals for stores. Develop & maintain maximum reduction of:  policy adjustments, mis-tints, bad debt, inventory shrinkage & overtime.Monitor store P & L statements & develop business plans & sales strategies to increase profitabilityControl inventory and use of capital assets based on sales & budget analysis

·         Perform scheduled store audits & inspections

·         Coordinates the leasing and logistics of opening new stores

·         Build a quality team environment with clear expectations & goals

·         Guide & direct ongoing efforts to improve competitiveness & productivity

·         Interface with upper management & implements directives

·         Direct all H.R. related issues- staffing, training, counseling, policies & procedures, etc.

·         Travel < 50% of the time (10 -12 days per month, with 5 – 10 overnight stays)

     

Qualifications:

 

7 - 10 years as store operations/area manager/district manager, including inventory control (paint preferred)

Minimum of 10 years sales experience (paint experience mandatory)

Training experience

Must have understanding of store P & L statements & the ability to make   business

decisions based upon the current figures

Proven track record of success in exceeding sales goals

Outstanding leadership qualities, concise in both written and oral communication, and exhibits exemplary interpersonal skills

Must have a valid Drivers’ License with a clean MVR

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

College degree or relevant/equivalent experience required

Bi-lingual Spanish is helpful, but not required

 

Relationships & Skills: 

This position requires the ability to make vital business decisions. This person must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate ideas and directions to all levels of management and staff. This person must hold the ability to lead & direct others effectively. This position plays an essential leadership role where prior experience and knowledge will be a necessary foundation for success.
