Black Press New Media, a leading online news and information provider in the Pacific Northwest, islooking for an enthusiastic professional with a proven track record in online advertising sales to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our family of 110 Websites located in Hawaii, Washington State, Ohio, Alberta and British Columbia.

As the Director of Online Sales, you will build and manage a sales team strategically located throughout our chain, to grow sales for Black Press New Media. We are looking for someone with both existing relationships to key clients and the drive and skills to successfully prospect and generate new business. The candidate will develop and cultivate deep relationships with major Pacific Northwest companies to articulate our overall business objectives and value propositions to the advertising community. You and your team will grow revenue for our news Websites and our growing family of targeted channel sites.

Requirements:

· At least 5 years of Internet advertising sales experience.
· Business or marketing post secondary education with equivalent related experience.
· Experience in a newspaper or media environment an asset
· Experience in managing and leading a sales team to consistently exceed sales goals
· Proven success selling to the executive level in large enterprise organizations and agencies
· Significant cold calling and lead generation skills
· Experience with Internet concepts and ability to convert advertising dollars to online channels
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery
· Must be able to travel
